The Proper Christian Response to Culture Wars

I came across a post stating that facebook was going to ban all religious pages, groups and posts over a period of time. Thanks to a facebook friend for informing me that this was indeed a hoax that has been around for a while. But it did bring up some interesting issues that Christians seem to be confused about many times. There are so many issues like this in our culture right now, at least in America, so we need to get our priorities straight as Christians. What should our response be, and what is our focus?

What should our response as Christians be to things like this?

Jesus said that if the world hated Him, it would hate us too.

He also said that if His kingdom were of this world, His servants would fight.

Peter reminded us that we should not think it strange when fiery trials come upon us, speaking of persecution.

I just want to say that if they go through with this, then it is only Facebook promoting only one religion, one worldview and that is atheism.

If they go through with this, what should believers do? Move on. That’s right. Say nothing. Don’t fight it, challenge it, or anything it. Ignore it and if you don’t like the new terms, dump Facebook, go somewhere else, start something better.

The gospel proceeded before Facebook and will endure after Facebook. It is unstoppable.
